THE PERFECT SEASON!
Dear Parents/Guardians of Wolves Players or Cheerleaders
I have been in contact with the local school administrators to discuss the use of nicotine and alcohol among Jr. High students. Vaping, as it is called, has worked its way into the Jr High level in our communities and the Wolves Board and Officers felt we needed to add a policy to address it. If you are not familiar with the act of “vaping” we highly suggest you search it online and educate yourself of this new and harmful activity. There have been incidents in the local schools where students have been caught vaping and these situations were handled by the schools and local police. Along with vaping, alcohol use has been reported and needs to be addressed by this policy. With input from the local administrators the Wolves Board and Officers have decided the following:
If a Player or Cheerleader is caught by the school or local police in the act of vaping or with vaping materials the following consequences will occur.
1. A first offence will result in a 1 game suspension from the Wolves Football Team or Cheerleading Squad. Parents may add to this suspension if that is their desire.
2. A second offence will result in the remainder of the season suspension from the Wolves Football Team or Cheerleading Squad.
If a Player of Cheerleader is caught consuming or in the possession of alcohol or other illegal substances the following consequences will occur.
3. A first offence will result in a 1 game suspension from the Wolves Football Team or Cheerleading Squad. Parents may add to this suspension if that is their desire.
4. A second offence will result in the remainder of the season suspension from the Wolves Football Team or Cheerleading Squad.
Please sit down with your child and go through this letter and discuss these topics. Our goal is to have healthy and productive young people in our program who help contribute to society and avoid these highly harmful habits.
